Basic countermeasures for LPG accident disposal

LPG is a hydrocarbon mixture composed of propane, propylene, butane, butene, etc. Under normal temperature and pressure, it is a colorless, flammable and low toxic gas. After adding odorant, it has a special odor; The relative density of gas is 1.5-2; At low temperature or pressure, it is a brownish yellow liquid with a relative density of about 0.5; Slightly soluble in water. LPG mixes with air to form an explosive mixture, which burns and explodes in case of sparks and high temperature. The explosion limit is about 2% - 8%; The maximum allowable filling capacity of the container is 85% for a new high-function fine inorganic product facing the 21st century; The weight filling factor is 0.425

II. Parts easy to leak

1. Valves are easy to leak parts of LPG storage tanks. The valve flange (sealing gasket) often leaks due to aging, cracking, uneven fastening of bolts, etc

2. The liquefied gas pipeline has cracks and leaks due to vibration, impact, etc. after aging

3. Cracks and leakage are easy to occur at the root of the storage tank due to material problems or other reasons

4. The large opening of the tank leaks. Because of internal overpressure or rapid pressurization by high temperature baking, the tear on the top bursts, which has large leakage, fast diffusion and high risk

III. leakage disposal measures

1. Inquire about the dangerous situation

2. Reconnaissance and detection. Master whether there is fire source in the leakage and diffusion area and around; Use detection instruments to detect the gas concentration at the accident site; Measure the wind force and direction of the site and surrounding areas; Search for people in distress and trapped, and quickly organize rescue and evacuation

3. Set up a warning range, determine the warning range according to the reconnaissance and detection conditions, set up warning signs, arrange warning personnel, and strictly control the access of personnel; During the whole disposal process, the gas concentration in the upwind area and the surrounding area of diffusion should be continuously detected

4. Choose the right parking position and attack route. The fire truck should choose the entrance and passage in the upwind direction, park at the appropriate position in the upwind direction, and use the upwind water source; In the upwind and crosswind directions of the diffusion area, I chose the attack route to approach the diffusion area, and set up water gun positions and the scene. I suddenly realized and found the answer command point

5. Fire sources are forbidden. Cut off all power supplies in the warning area and extinguish the open fire; High heat equipment stops working; Close the BP machine, and cut off the line of the rescue personnel in the warning area; It is not allowed to wear chemical fiber clothing and shoes with nails into the warning area, and it is not allowed to carry iron tools into the diffusion area to participate in the rescue

6. Turn off the valve and cut off the source. If the pipeline leaks, and the leakage point is behind the valve and the valve has not been damaged, measures can be taken to close the conveying material management valve and cut off the material source to stop the leakage. When closing the management valve, it must be protected by flowering or spray water gun

7. Spray dilution. Group A is a high-precision and high-performance environmental experimental equipment, weaving a certain number of spray water guns to disperse and dilute the deposited and floating gases; The rescue personnel must set up spray water guns to cover the leakage; For the leakage of the opening on the top of the storage tank, hold the sinking gas with a spray water gun and disperse it upward to make it float at a certain height; Direct current water gun is not allowed to be used for dispersion and dilution, so as to avoid static electricity caused by strong water flow impact; If there is a steam pipeline in the storage tank farm, the steam pipe can be connected to release steam to dilute the leaked LPG

8. Strengthen protection. The team members entering the scene or the warning area must wear respirators and various protective equipment, and wear sealed fire-fighting and chemical protective clothing; Peripheral personnel should wear pure cotton combat clothes, tighten the cuffs, tighten the belt, and wet the whole body into the diffusion area if necessary

9. Plugging. To manage leakage or tank hole leakage, special pipe inner sealing, outer sealing and binding full gas plugging tools should be used to quickly plug the leakage, or screw with metal screws and adhesives, or use wood wedges and hard rubber plugs to plug

flange leakage: flange leakage caused by loose bolts; If the flange gasket is aged and causes leakage under pressure, a special flange clamp can be used to clamp the flange, and high-pressure injection sealant can be drilled between the bolts to stop the leakage
